The rifle I own was converted to a hunting rifle. I own an Arisaka from WW2 with the chrysanthemum intact and I have done a bit of reading over the years on this rifle. Taken off a fallen enemy soldier sounds much more interesting of a story to tell and was probably the case in only few instances.
